Ticket Types

Universal Orlando Resort

Number of parks: 2-Park & 3-Park

2-Park tickets allow entry into both Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure theme parks during your vacation

3-Park tickets allow entry into Universal Studios, Universal's Islands of Adventure, AND Universal's Volcano Bay during your vacation

number of days: 1-Day to 5-Day Tickets

choose how many days you’d like to visit

Base or Park-to-Park

Base tickets allow entry into ONE park per calendar day

Park-to-Park tickets allow entry into MULTIPLE parks in the same calendar day

*Please note: Park-to-park tickets are always recommended and are required to ride the Hogwarts Express between both parts of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade)

Example: 3-Park + 2-Day Park-to-Park Ticket

This ticket type would allow entry into all 3 Universal parks on the same calendar day for both days of your vacation

With the exception of 1-Day tickets, all tickets purchased through your travel agent grant you Early Park Admission (one hour) into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and other select attractions on each ticket day (and Volcano Bay if you purchased 3-park tickets). Check your Universal Orlando app to see which park has early hours on each day

Express Pass & Express Pass Unlimited (Universal’s skip-the-regular-line service) can be added to your tickets on request- before your vacation with me or after your arrival at the parks (based on availability). I recommend adding it before your vacation. For premier resort guests, Express Pass Unlimited is included in your stay

Universal Orlando

Express Pass

Photo by Kenny Sabugo on Unsplash

overview

Universal Express Pass allows guests to bypass the standby line at most attractions in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. At included attractions, guests enter the attraction via a designated Express lane that offers significantly shorter and often no-wait lines.

For included shows, guests are granted access to the venue before general admission allowing them early access and better seats. To use the express pass at shows, guests must arrive 10-15mins before the show starts to be granted early access.

types of express pass

There are two levels of Express Pass available for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure:

1. Basic Universal Express Pass

The Basic Pass allows guests Express Lane access once at each participating attraction. Guests can use the standby lane if they want to re-ride an attraction.

2. Universal Express Pass Unlimited

Unlimited Express Pass lets guests re-ride attractions as many times as they like throughout the day.

how to purchase

Universal Express Pass can be purchased in addition to any Park ticket. Additionally, some Universal Premier Resorts (Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, and Royal Pacific) offer complimentary Express Pass Unlimited with the guest's stay.

Everyone in your party who wants to use the service, including children, must purchase an Express Pass. Passes cannot be shared as they are linked to tickets. Unlike services like Genie+, guests do not need to make reservations for rides in advance and can enter Express Lanes whenever they like.

You can purchase an Express Pass for 1 or more days of your vacation: e.g. you can purchase a 2-day Park Ticket and Express Pass for 1 of those days. Express Passes are available for 1 Park (Can be used with a 1 Park ticket or Park to Park ticket*) or 2 Parks (Can be used with a Park to Park ticket). *If you purchase a 1 Park Pass this will be specific to your chosen park and cannot be amended. Basic Express Pass prices start from $89, with Express Pass Unlimited beginning at $99 (Surge Pricing Applies).

When considering Universal Express Pass note that Universal Parks generally aren't as crowded as Disney Parks. Depending on the time of year you're going the pass may not be necessary. It also rarely sells out and you can often purchase at the parks if you decide to use the service.
